FAQs
How often should hard floors be serviced?
There are a variety of factors that go into hard floor servicing. The variables we consider include traffic flow, climate, and type of flooring. At minimum, we recommend daily dust/damp mop; weekly–monthly machine scrubs by traffic; quarterly scrub-and-recoat for many VCT/LVT/terrazzo programs; annual strip-and-refinish as needed.
What's the difference between a scrub-and-recoat and a full strip-and-refinish?
Scrub-and-recoat removes surface soil and adds finish to restore gloss—it is faster and less costly. Strip-and-refinish removes all finish for a full reset; use when finish is worn/yellowed or deeply scratched.
How often should commercial carpets be deep cleaned?
Carpet cleaning is very dependent on food and equipment traffic as well as type of carpet. For light foot traffic, generally you’ll want to get carpets cleaned every 6–12 months; standard office/common areas 3–6 months; entrances, corridors, food service areas, we recommend quarterly cleaning. To maintain the health of your commercial carpet, though, we recommend daily vacuuming and prompt spot treatment.
Which method is best—hot water extraction or low-moisture cleaning?
Hot water extraction removes embedded soils and restores appearance; we recommend scheduling this as a periodic reset. Low-moisture encapsulation is ideal between deep cleans when minimal disruption and fast dry times (often ≤2–4 hrs) are needed.
Will carpet deep cleaning disrupt our operations?
We will always work with your team on the right schedule for carpet cleaning. Generally, this service is done after hours, we will stage work zones so as not to close off an entire space, and we use use air movers for quick drying. Most spaces are traffic-ready next morning; priority areas can reopen within a few hours.
