For Alejandro Ramirez, the American Dream isn’t about status or titles; it’s about balance, stability, and family. His journey from a teenager navigating a new life in Aurora, Colorado, to becoming a trusted leader at CCS Facility Services reflects a deeper truth: with resilience, you can always shape the future you envision.
At 13 years old, Alejandro moved to Colorado, encouraged by his grandmother, who had raised him up until that point, to pursue new opportunities in the U.S. The transition wasn’t easy. Living with his aunts, self-reliance came quickly since they worked long hours. He had to manage daily life on his own. “There was nobody home to wake me up or remind me to go to school,” he says. “I had to figure it out on my own.”

In 2005, during his senior year, Alejandro joined CCS Facility Services as a part-time carpet technician, his very first job. His work ethic was obvious to branch management from the start, and within months, he was supervising weekend crews. Soon after, he transitioned into accounts receivable, where company leaders recognized his natural ability with math and technology. Guided by multiple mentors, he learned not only finance and operations, but also the importance of people skills. “My mentors taught me that it’s not just about the numbers, it’s about how you communicate and lead with emotional intelligence,” Alejandro recalls.
Still, his journey wasn’t linear. Alejandro left CCS Facility Services for several years to pursue entrepreneurial ventures in construction, restaurants, and even running a deli. Those experiences gave him perspective, and in 2021, he knew it was time to come back to the place that launched his career. “Returning to CCS Facility Services felt natural,” he says. “I was welcomed back like family, and I quickly reconnected with the culture of support that shaped my early career.”
“From the day I met Alejandro, I knew he was special. His natural curiosity and sharp mind were immediately evident—especially in how he approached problem-solving,” recalls Troy Coker, CEO of CCS Facility Services. “His level of intellectual engagement was an early indicator for me that he had amazing leadership potential.” Coker recognized Alejandro’s strong math skills early on and recommended a move to accounts receivable.
Since then, he’s been closely involved in every stage of Alejandro’s career journey at the company, identifying development opportunities and ultimately championing him for the General Manager role.
“From starting as a part-time employee to becoming a General Manager, Alejandro truly embodies CCS Facility Services’ values, setting the standard for those he works with and for other industry veterans.”
Since rejoining CCS Facility Services, Alejandro has risen through the ranks, quickly advancing from his role in accounts receivable to Account Manager, and now to General Manager, overseeing Denver operations.
Outside of work, Alejandro is a devoted father to three daughters. Weekends are dedicated to them, whether cheering them on at school activities or just spending quality time together. “For me, success is giving my daughters the time, education, and resources they need to thrive,” he says. “That’s what matters most.”
When asked about the American Dream, Alejandro doesn’t hesitate: “It’s stability and balance, being able to enjoy work, family, and community.” For him, CCS Facility Services has been a central part of that dream, offering mentorship, opportunity, and the space to grow both professionally and personally.
Perhaps the most important lesson Alejandro wants others to take from his story is perseverance.
“Hard work pays off. I had some challenges, but I was able to persevere. With the right support and mindset, it’s always possible to start again.”
Looking ahead, his goals remain grounded. “I’m not chasing titles or money. I just want to keep learning, gaining experience, and growing,” he says. “That curiosity and drive have carried me since I was a teenager, and it’s what continues to push me today.”
