Spreading Holiday Cheer with a Service Heart

As a company guided by a Service Heart, giving back to the community is central to our ethos.

It was November in Denver. Families were preparing for the holidays. But for many, a festive meal and warm essentials were out of reach. We learned that Community Ministry, a food pantry in Southwest Denver, was in need of resources to support the hundreds of families and individuals who had come to rely on their service.

Just up the street from our branch office, we proudly chose to support the organization’s meaningful work. Community Ministry serves thousands of residents each year. In fact, this Thanksgiving alone, Community Ministry distributed more than 400 Thanksgiving dinner boxes to families and individuals in need.

“It’s incredibly meaningful to support organizations that are right in our own backyard,” added Troy Coker, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CCS Facility Services. “CCS Facility Services was founded on the belief that service extends beyond our clients; it’s about demonstrating our commitment to the communities around us.”

To help stock Community Ministry’s shelves ahead of the holidays, more than a dozen Denver-based team members in Santa hats came together to purchase cartloads of needed items, fill festive vans with 1,251 pounds of non-perishable food and essential items, including coats and hygiene products, and unload donations at the food pantry. The organization then took CCS Facility Services on a tour of its impressive operation, where the team learned more about Community Ministry’s mission to meet the needs of those experiencing economic hardship across the Denver area.

“Giving back is part of who we are as a company.” Jesus Guerrero, Regional Vice President

“It’s our responsibility to support the communities where we live and work. We’re so thankful to their team for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to make a difference.”

At CCS Facility Services, service starts with heart. We’re deeply proud to support Community Ministry and play a role in the incredible work they do for the people of southwest Denver. Delivering these donations was a reminder that when compassion leads the way, even the simplest acts can make a meaningful difference. We remain committed to leading with a Service Heart: sharing care, hope, and joy in the places we call home this holiday season and far beyond.
