The American Dream isn’t a stroke of luck—it’s a journey defined by persistence, sacrifice, and determination. From his first job as a teenager to late-night janitorial shifts while raising young children, Tony Ramirez has embraced that journey. Today, he serves as the branch manager of CCS Facility Services’ Los Angeles office—one of the company’s largest operations. Over the years, long nights and relentless determination shaped Tony into a respected leader at one of the U.S.’s largest facility services companies.

In 1993, shortly after becoming a father, Tony entered the janitorial industry. He started working night shifts at a newspaper plant in Ontario, California, where he cleaned floors and kept presses running. While he noted that these were some of the most difficult years of his life, this period marked the start of a journey that would carry him from an entry-level janitor to the General Manager of a major market.
Over the next three decades, Tony mastered nearly every role the janitorial industry could offer: floor tech, window washer, sanitation supervisor, project manager, area manager, and eventually, regional leader. Each step required learning new skills, including timekeeping, payroll, labor management, and customer relations.
Beyond his career achievements, Tony takes the most pride in raising a close-knit family. Becoming a parent at a young age wasn’t easy, but guiding his children into adulthood and watching them thrive as parents now is his most meaningful accomplishment. He also sets personal goals, from completing a 50-mile cycling race to hiking the rugged 10-mile Fullerton loop, proving his determination extends well beyond the workplace.
Today, Tony continues to grow with CCS Facility Services, focusing on operations and team development. He hopes his story inspires both his team and his kids.
“The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that people make the difference. Success in this industry comes from building strong teams, leading by example, and creating an environment of respect,” Tony said. “Whether flipping a stadium overnight or managing hundreds of sites, it always came down to teamwork.
“If my story inspires others to take pride in their work, lead with empathy, and lift others up, then it’s made a difference.”
Tony has built one of CCS Facility Services’ most stable teams, with virtually no managerial turnover thanks to his focus on mentoring and creating a supportive culture. His leadership not only drives strong client partnerships and service quality but also shapes future leaders whose career growth reflects the lasting impact of his mentorship.
“Tony’s impact is both immediate and lasting,” said Bill King, CCS Facility Services’ Chief Operating Officer. “He reminds us that true success isn’t just about execution—it’s about inspiring teams, building community, and creating a foundation for sustainable growth across every dimension of our company.”
From being a gardener’s apprentice to leading CCS Facility Services’ LA operations, Tony’s hard work, integrity, and teamwork have carried him through his career. Looking ahead, he remains focused on helping others grow, proving that the American Dream is as much about creating opportunities for others as it is about achieving your own.
